The rules for buying and using minibooks. Your rights as a consumer under the law always apply on top of them.
Who sells
minibooks is run by Marek Wituszyński, Tąpadła 50, 58-111 Tąpadła, Poland, tax id (NIP) 8942767220, REGON 381219039. Contact: orders@minibooks.ai.
What you get
minibooks makes a personalized picture book in which a child you describe is the hero. You describe up to three heroes, pick a style, a reader age and a story idea, and see a free Preview: the cover and the first pages, the pages with a watermark.
If you buy, you get the whole book: a cover and 12 illustrated pages to read in your browser, a PDF to download and print, and a private link you can share. It is digital content; nothing is shipped.
You need a web browser and an email address. Any PDF reader opens the PDF.
Who can use minibooks
Adults only (18 or over). Add a child’s photo or details only if you are their parent or guardian or have their permission.
What you put in
You are responsible for the photos and text you give us. Don’t upload photos of people without the right to, and don’t ask for stories that are hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise unsuitable for children. We may decline a story idea or picture that doesn’t fit, and suggest another.
You keep your rights to what you give us. We use it only to make, store and deliver your book.
Made with AI
AI models make the story and the pictures from your descriptions. Pictures can have small flaws or look less like the child than a photo. That is why you see the portrait and a free Preview before you pay, and can ask for another portrait.
Prices and payment
The price is on the button before you pay, in your currency. Prices include VAT. There is no subscription: you pay once per book.
Payment is handled by Stripe: card, BLIK, Przelewy24, digital wallets, Klarna or another method available in your country. The contract is made when your payment is confirmed.
If you agreed to news and offers, a reminder about an unpaid Preview may include a discount. It shows on the payment page and lasts only as long as the email says.
Delivery
We start making the rest of the book as soon as your payment is confirmed. It usually takes a few minutes. We email you a link when it’s ready, and it is always on your shelf at minibooks.ai.
Your right to withdraw
As a consumer you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the purchase, without giving a reason. Just write to orders@minibooks.ai saying you withdraw. You can use the model withdrawal form in the appendix at the end of these terms, but you don’t have to.
We refund you within 14 days of receiving your message, to the payment method you used.
If something goes wrong
If we can’t finish your book after you paid, we refund the full amount automatically and email you.
We are responsible by law for the book being as promised (conformity of digital content with the contract). If it isn’t (for example pages are missing or the PDF won’t open), write to us. We will fix it, and if we can’t, you can get a price reduction or your money back, as the law provides.
You can complain the same way about the website itself, for example a sign-in link that doesn’t work. Tell us what happened and what you expect; we answer within 14 days.
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. It usually takes a few days; with a card up to 10 business days.
Add-ons
You can add an audiobook to your book: its text read aloud in the voice you choose. Each voice is paid for separately, and you see its price before you pay. You can buy it with the book or later; we record it after the book is made.
You listen to the audiobook in the reader on the book’s page and can download it as an MP3 file. If the recording fails, we automatically refund that voice in full. These terms apply to the audiobook too.
Using your book
The book is for you and your family: read it, print it at home, give it as a gift and share it with the private link. Please don’t sell it or use it commercially.
We don’t use your book, photos or descriptions in our marketing without your permission.
Your shelf and deleting
You sign in with a link we email you; there is no password. On your shelf you can download your books, turn share links on and off, and delete one book or everything. A deleted book can’t be brought back, so download the PDF first.
Our responsibility
We do our best to keep minibooks running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for a while. We are responsible to you as the law requires, and nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer.
Changes, law and disputes
We may update these terms; the version in force when you paid applies to your purchase. Polish law applies, but it never takes away the protection of the consumer law of the country where you live.
If we can’t agree, you can use mediation or a permanent consumer arbitration court at a regional Trade Inspection office (wojewódzki inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej), help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman, or the guidance at prawakonsumenta.uokik.gov.pl. You can always go to court too. Questions first, though: orders@minibooks.ai.
