Free Christmas coloring pages for kids

The tree is waiting for its ornaments, the presents are piled by the fireplace and Santa is waving from his sleigh. These three Christmas scenes with a girl and a little dragon make the wait for Christmas morning a bit shorter.

Coloring page: a girl with braids hangs an ornament on a Christmas tree with a star on top and candy canes, while a small dragon sits beside it holding a paper chain. Wrapped presents with bows lie under the tree and a wreath hangs on the wall.

What is on these Christmas coloring pages

Decorating the tree with ornaments and candy canes, presents by a fireplace hung with stockings, and Santa stopping his sleigh in the snowy village to wave hello. These are new Christmas pictures, not pages from our sample book, but every scene has the same girl with braids and little dragon, drawn as black outlines ready to color.

The shapes are big and closed, so even a three-year-old can fill in an ornament or a present. Older kids will find plenty of small details: stars on the tree, snowflakes outside the window and the snowman’s carrot nose.

How to print them

A few things that make printing easier:

  • Click PDF to open one page sized for A4 paper. On US Letter paper, choose Fit to page in the print window.
  • Print in black and white: the pages have no gray, so they use very little ink.
  • Regular printer paper is fine for crayons and colored pencils. For markers or watercolor, thicker paper keeps the color from bleeding through.
  • Save the PNG if your child colors on a tablet.

Ideas for Christmas coloring time

Color the ornaments on the page to match the ones on your own tree. Your child can walk over to the tree, count the red and gold ornaments, then copy them onto the paper.

A colored page makes a good Christmas card. Fold it in half, write a few words inside and send it to grandparents or a friend who lives far away.

Print a few pages when cousins come over. Coloring together at the kitchen table keeps the kids busy for a good while as the grown-ups finish getting dinner ready.

A Christmas story with your child as the hero

The girl and the dragon on these pages come from a sample book made with minibooks. You can make a story like that with your own child in every picture: type their name, age and a few words about how they look, pick a style and say what the story is about, maybe waiting up for Santa.

The cover and first pages are free, usually in 2–3 minutes. If you like them, the whole book is $14.99, paid once: the cover and 12 illustrated pages to read online and as a PDF to print.

Yes. Print as many copies as you like for your family or a preschool group. You don’t need an account or an email.

Mostly for children aged 3 to 7. The presents and the snowman have big shapes for younger kids, and the tree full of ornaments keeps older ones busy for longer.

Where do the pictures come from?

They are new pictures made for Christmas, with the girl and the dragon from our own sample book. They are not pictures of any customer’s child.
